My name is Heather; however, I go by Hattie. I now suffer from anxiety/panic disorder for the past 7 years. When an attack came on it would last a few days. I eventually start to know when one was coming on and how to calm it down. What helps for me when I feel one coming on is distracting my mind. That would be watching something that catches my interest, so my mind is occupied or simply going for a walk and listening to music. I now at night will listen to calming music such as ocean wave sounds. I definitely adjusted my lifestyle to have a calmer self.
