Addiction

Once upon a time, in 1975, there was a little girl whose mommy was sick with something called addiction. Nobody knew what it was at the time, but we did know that our lives would never be the same. Fast forward to the year 2003, and that little girl was now a mommy herself... and an addict. After having two little boys and repeating history all over again, she stopped the cycle. I am that little girl and also a woman in long term recovery. I have 13 years sober and have the amazing privilege of giving back to the community that I took from for many years. I have two amazing adult sons who have found forgiveness for me and two little girls whom I would lay on the railroad tracks for. Love and compassion fill my heart today and I am beyond blessed to have a role in this world where I get to help people.
