New Patient Story

I have been a RN for over 40 years. Worked may different units including surgery, preop, mother baby, rehab and med/surg. I have also worked travel assignments but there is nothing I enjoy more than being the Nursing Assistant program Director/Instructor at St Joseph's Hospital in Chewelah, Wa. I began instructing 2006 and left briefly to help my family. I return to teaching after turning 65 years old. I love to see the student reach their goals and keep in touch even as they leave the class to work or continue their education. Many have gone on to become RN, pharmacy tech, Radiology tech. Medical Assistants, even a doctor. I would encourage others to come out of retirement and fine a passion working or volunteering in health care. It keeps you young. haha
