Strive for Health Excellence
Prior to working at the University of Providence, SHP, I had been working for Providence Health & Services in Nursing Education where we participated in Health & Wellness programs which held me then and now, to strive for health excellence. Choose Well holds me accountable to my daily choices (which is a good thing) and is fun along the way. To support my Choose Well habit, I have put a daily reminder to access and update my daily goals. As we get older, it is important to continue to eat well (healthy, not necessarily volume), exercise, keep our brains thinking and healthy, fill our souls spiritually and stay connected with others. Choose well meets those priorities by offering a multitude of fun things to read and do. My favorite has been the activity challenge. I joined the YMCA as I wanted to participate in classes to connect with others and continue to work on my physical health. I have run into people from my church, introduced to new friends and, while some of the Barre classwork is difficult, others are there to encourage and support me and, laugh along the way. The good news is change is good and, success happens in small steps. Thank you Choose Well!
